Whitehead Guided Walk & Food Tastings with Toast The Coast9:00am- 9:40am at The Bank House, Whitehead
Meet your Local Guide & Experience a unique Deli Breakfast, celebrating all things local vs international. Hear about how this converted bank is the centre of local food and crafts in Whitehead. A leisurely guided walk & remember to look up as your guide Steve Diamond, local artist and resident, points out interesting buildings, facts and stories along the journey in the town with no streets.
Hear about previous residents, the growth of the Victorian railway town, local family businesses and how volunteers are the power of the community.

10:30am-11:45am Whitehead Railway Museum & Edwardian Tea Room
A light history and journey through the endearing Whitehead Railway Museum, up close to preserved engines, and a time to appreciate the significance of the residing home of the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. See volunteers at work and admire the attention to detail of the fine carriages, it’s even the home of a movie star! A light, miniature Cream Tea, in a setting fit for a Queen.

12 noon-12:45pm The Lighthouse Bistro, Whitehead
A showcase of local produce, in a sharing platter between friends you brought and the new friends you meet, from chef Joni Taste of Ulster members and Best World Cuisine 2019 Food Awards Finalist. Our final stop and we will Toast The Coast!

1:30pm The Bank House
End the morning after your final stretch of the walk and appreciation of the beautiful town of Whitehead.

All food, drinks, guided walk with tour guide & admission prices £45 per person.  Notes: Suitable for all walking abilities and all dietary requirements, please advise at booking.

1200 – Arrival to the island, Tea/Coffee, Scones, Jam & Cream available.
1245 – Tour of the Island.
1315 – Canapes and Glass of Prosecco (canapes to consist of Grape, Melon & Mints, Mini Burger, Ulster Fry on a Stick, Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese & Chive Blinis).
1400 – Paddle boarding & use of the Spa facilities to include indoor Pool, Sauna and Hot Tub.
1900 – Three Course Evening Meal & Overnight accommodation.

Friday 27th September
0900 – Breakfast.
1000 – Use of spa facilities.
1100 – Check out and departure.

Cost for food and shared accommodation is £75 per person or for any delegates wanting single occupancy the cost would be £105 per person.

October 4th or 11th October
Shortcross Gin Distillery Tour – Distillery time 2pm to 3:30pm
A private distillery tour in the small but perfectly crafted distillery. Learn all about the foraged botanicals, the unique gin and whiskey processes, stand next to the three beautiful copper pot stills and meet the founders Fiona and David. Enjoy the views in the beautiful location on Rademon Estate with a post tour cocktail at our bar.
